Australia VS Malaysia

Life in Australia is pretty laid-back, free, fun, chilling, and cool. We have four seasons. Summer = extremely WARM. Autumn - Chilly and hot, but cold. Winter - Totally cold and annoying and windy and rainy. Spring - Chilly and warm at the same time - My favorite.

People in Australia are rather friendly. We meet people along the way so easily and everyone gets along well with one another. How great is that?!

Studying in Australia is difficult. Assignments are neverending. English requirements are pretty high. The requirements the lecturers expect of you are pretty high. The workload is so much higher. And the stress you get is neverending!!!

Working in Australia requires a lot of challenges. You'd have to think out of the box. You'd have to be hardworking. You'd have to work very hard to get to the top. You'd have to compete compete compete. There's no such thing as rest when it comes to working. There's just so much to do!!!

Now it comes to the Malaysia part.

Life in Malaysia is rush rush rush and OT OT OT. OT is overtime for your information. That's the life we get in Malaysia. We're always having late nights in offices. We're always having late dinners. We're always late. We say we'd arrive at 8am. But we arrive at 9am instead. We categorize it as Malaysian so-called timing. Yep, we're late boomers.

The weather is always warm warm warm. The humidity is higher than Australia's and that's why we sweat more often. We're always driving cars cause we can never rely on public transports. We're always going out for late session in mamak stalls to chat with friends. We're always going out all the time. Food and friends remain our top priorities outside of work and study.

Studying in Malaysia is normal. The assignments are huge but it's so much easier than Australia's. The English requirement is just normal. The workloads are enormous but it's so much easier to complete it and the lecturers always have mercy on you. It's just simply easy peezy!!!

Working in Malaysia is alright. As long as you get along well with your bosses and colleagues, everything's fine. But ... there would always be office politics. BACKSTABBERS!!! And you're always having overtime work in the office. Some stay till 11pm or past midnight. They're always busy busy busy. They're always moving around.

And I'll remind you one thing, you can never find a decent parking place in Malaysia because it's always full!!!

Malaysia sells illegal stuffs. Australia doesn't. Malaysia has all the cheap food and clothes. Australia doesn't. Malaysia has all the 24 hours stores to eat at. Australia has only in some certain parts of the country, not all.

Malaysia or Australia?

I'll always be Malaysian. I'll always breathe a Malaysian and live a Malaysian.

Australia's good as well. It keeps me stronger and stronger and challenging myself into new levels in life. I'll probably go back to Malaysia in a few years time after gaining some experience in the workforce in Australia. It is a good place after all.

We'll see how things goes. After all, I don't plan my life. God does and I go as it goes.

Malaysia has its own weaknesses and so does Australia.

I still love Malaysia though. And I do enjoy the Australian life. Nevertheless, once a Malaysian always a Malaysian. It never dies.

Take your pick, Australia or Malaysia?!

Summer Is Here

Summer is here. A wonderful summery feeling has occurred. A long break has arrived. Fun in the beach, shopping with girlfriends, relaxing in the pool, late nights with mates, watching the films you missed, eating all you've missed out, and all the fun things one could think of ... it comes to my list of activities stored in my head for the summer.

Leaving for Perth in 2 weeks time, that's something to look forward to. Up for Malaysia in 3 weeks time, that's even better. A great summer awaits. The weather's getting even more warmer as of recent. More company seem to satisfy my happy soul. Boredom destroyed. Excitement, happiness and fun fills this very soul of mine.

After a long journey for 3 months of researching, writing articles and presentations, a break to soothen things up has arrived. It's time to lift yourself up and flap your wings and fly in the sky till a new journey for another extra 3 months begins once again. Celebrate and enjoy while you can. Once the real thing starts, it'd be difficult. A shortage of breaks and a shortage of time to relax.

Celebrate and cherish, that's so ever vital. Appreciate and cherish each moment you undergo for time flies like a rollercoaster and you can never turn back time.

New York, I Fell In Love

Reading "The New Yorker", an awesome feature magazine website where they have feature stories that is true and actual stories that seem to be intriguing and entertaining ... I seem to miss New York. I love New York!!! Sydney reminds me a lot of it. Nevertheless, the true NYC is better indeed.

New York where Times Square is, Central Park, awesome snow during winter, awesome Broadway and musicals, awesome entertainment with constant different concerts and jazz stuff ... anyone's bet to fall in love with it. The females would love the shopping ... awesome clothes, shoes and handbags ... oh it's heaven for shopaholics. Check "The Confessions of a Shopaholic" for a taste of it. You'll feel it. That's for girls that is. Unless there are guys who are shopaholics. Believe me, I've met guys who are shopaholics like me too.

A wide dream to stay in New York, it's impossible at this point. The wonderful entertainment and media world I want to explore, I can only fantasize. I am in the media line and would love some exposure there. Besides, New York is where you get all the wonderful entertaining experiences of the media. Los Angeles too. Nevertheless, New York is the city of luxury and heaven.

Can I go back? New York Oh New York, could you pull me in? I am amazed at your beautiful features inside out. I was only 21 back then. I'm 24 now, all grown-up ... maybe another visit would do good. Probably in 2 or 3 years, who knows. We'll see if my future boss sends me there for work!!!

By any chance, have you been to New York?!

What Is Love

A: I really love you and wish you could be my girlfriend.
B: You love me? But why?
A: Cause you're nice, bla bla bla and dot dot dot ...
B: How can you say you love me when you don't even know me? Don't you even know what love is?
A: I do know you.
B: What are the ten things I love and hate? What am I like? What is my personality like? What is my identity like?
A: umh ...

Seriously, do you even know what love it truly about?

Love takes a long time to develop, especially girls. It takes a long time to know if you truly love a person. There's just so much to know and learn.

But, really ... what is love? How do you know you really love a person? What would you do if you really love a person. I don't believe in flattery words. I believe in actions in love. Actions speak louder than words. If you say you love me, show it to me.

When I love a person, I would go the distance for this person. I would go as far as I can to talk to this person, spend time with this person, do something special for this person. I would be close to this person and this person's surroundings, accepting his family and friends. Basically, I would do anything for this person.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres." - 1 Corinthians13:4-7

Don't say I love you when you don't show it. It takes a lifetime to know a person inside out.

If you think you like a person, don't say I love you. Get to know the person inside out first for a year before you step into it. Be friends first and see how things goes. God always has a final say. Focus on God and let him lead your life. Don't let relationships be your main focus. Let God be your MAIN FOCUS. For it's said in Matthew 6:33 "Seek first HIS kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you"

Trust God, he has a great plan for your life. Don't destroy God's plan but follow it.

Birthdays

Birthdays .. it's one of the most memorable days one can think of. I've had 24 birthdays and I've come to a conclusion that I have grown so much. I've stepped out of my little shell and enlarged. Full of confidence, boldness, courageous, gentle, happier, wiser, matured, and the list goes on ...

One year older. One year wiser. One year matured. One year smarter. One year prettier. There goes the saying...

A memorable birthday to remember...

Life is so full of excitement, surprises, happiness and blessings. Take a chance to cherish it and enjoy to the fullest...

Appreciate every birthday you have ...

You're growing each year ... I still miss being 21 ... But I know I have to grow up. It's about time. Same goes to you.

Birthdays should be days to enjoy, remember and be happy about. It doesn't matter if you're celebrating alone or with friends or family. It doesnt matter if someone hurt you on your birthday. Enjoy it to the fullest, it's only once a year ...

Malaysia Day In September

Malaysia Day = 16 September = Public Holiday = Effective Beginning Of Next Year.

How amazing is that? Malaysia has added a new public holiday. I'm relieved in a way. But in a way, I think Malaysia has too many holidays. Students would slack and so would the workers.

"Malaysia Day would be celebrated with events that would foster closer unity, understanding between the different races and community success and achievement through sports, social culture and arts, to spur the 1Malaysia spirit"

That's something lovely to look forward to. Malaysia is reaching towards unity. Najib's good after all. Good strategy, PM Najib. I'm so impressed. It'd be something to look forward to. Though I'm currently living in Australia, I was born a Malaysian and I live a Malaysian and breathe a Malaysian. That's something I can never get rid of. Therefore, something nice about Malaysia would do relief to me no matter how.

Impressive news to know about. I can betcha Malaysians are all shouting for joy now. Who doesn't like holidays? NO ONE!!! Holidays are always a relief. Makes you relax and enjoy life.

Nevertheless, Malaysians have something happy to look forward to. Hip hip hooray!!!

If I Can Do It, So Can You

Tasks after tasks, it's a never ending process. It goes on and on just like a roller coaster ride. Irony, really. Nevertheless, it keeps you stronger and makes you grow from small to big.

Production journal's almost done. I've managed to cut it to 1500 words. All I need to do is edit it in the right order and structure that I require it to be. It's scary in a way as I have so much to write but I'm afraid that I would not be able to deliver it because of the word limit required.

Feature article has 600 words to go. All my sources that I have interviewed have replied to all my requests. It took me a month to chase these sources. I still have much to pretty up the words in that very article. Gosh, there's just so much to write that I don't know where to begin. It's such a wide topic, yet I find it hard to lengthen it. I guess I'd just have to write some expression and poetic words to beautify the article a little.

I'm getting there. All you need is some more determination and persistence.

This Masters course has taught me so much to be even more determined and persistent. I've learned how to be more confident too. And outspoken too.

If you think you can't do it, you can. You just need to step out of that small shell of yours and grow into a giant snail and just say, "I CAN DO IT" like Nike's motto, "JUST DO IT". You just need to believe in yourself and not fear others. Great people would never belittle you but encourage you. Small people are the ones that belittle you. So don't you worry, you'll do fine at the end of the day. We meet all sorts of people everyday. It's a learning process and you'll know who suits your circle of crowd. Everything always happens for a reason. And there's always a rainbow after a thunderstorm.

I did it well. I stepped out of that box. I'm so much different from before. I'm so talkative and friendly and outspoken and daring and confident. I truly am. I'm honestly not afraid of anything anymore except God of course.

If I can do it, so can you.

If You Have Something, Cherish It, Don't Push It Away

"If you have something, why won't you accept it and treasure and treat it with care and love?"

The quote above applies to all, especially young people. We young people tend to take things for granted. When it's in our hands, we never appreciate it. When we've lost it or when it's went astray, we regret and take back our words and try to get back that thing we want so much to hold.

It's simple as A B C and 1 2 3.

Every little thing that's been given you, that you've worked hard for, that you discovered, that you have ... appreciate it and work hard to maintain it.

God has given you your family, appreciate them with love, care and understanding no matter the circumstances.

God has given your great intelligence so use them in the right way.

God has given you the opportunity to study so study well and don't put it astray.

God has given you the opportunity to work so accept it and dont complain and demand things. Be humble and more will come to you. Accept all that's there for you.

God has given you a good boyfriend/girlfriend or spouse ... accept it and don't complain, don't demand things from him or her and dont expect him or her to be something else. Accept it and appreciate it and treasure and do things to make him or her happy. It's your blessing and you should cherish it like diamonds. Work hard to this relationship with God leading it in the right way. Nothing comes easy. If you think it does, you're living in a dream. Relationships should be a two-way and both should be working hard together.

God has given you great friends so cherish them and don't judge them. Accept them for who they are.

God has saved your soul so start saving other souls too. Step out in faith.

Appreciation and gratefulness is vital. Your reward will come soon. Just hold on, be humble and be righteous. It's only in his timing that he would give it to us. We only have to be patient. Trust me, it works.

Appreciate before it's too late.

Life Goes On ...

A broken heart, a wandering soul, a haywire mind ...

Yet, life goes on ...

There's so much one can take in ... at the end of the day, just breaks down and say "I've had enough and I wish this suffering would end"

To be broken apart by the people you love ... that's more hard to forget ... and let it go ...

Yet, life goes on ...

Letting go is a hard word. Missing is suffering. Holding on is painful.

How are you to let go a precious thing you've hold on to preciously? Something you wanted to keep forever? Something you know is going away?

If you love something, if it goes away, no matter how painful it is, let it go. That's genuine love. If it comes back to you, it's yours. If it doesn't, it never was. But I always believe, always work hard to gain it. But don't force it when you know it can never be yours.

Everything has a beginning and an end. Life goes on ...
